The Friends of Ladd Marsh are offering two great opportunities for you to get your 2018 birding lists off to a good start this weekend.

Friday evening, Feb. 2, Mike Mahoney will lead an owling expedition.  Meet at Headquarters at 7:30pm.  The trip will last approximately 2 hours.  Be sure to dress in warm clothes for this trip.   Hats and warm footwear are especially useful when standing around in cold weather.  A flashlight or headlamp also is recommended.

After owling, catch a few ZZZ’s, then, come on back on Saturday morning, Feb. 3, for the monthly First Saturday Bird Walk.  Spring migration is ON, with Tundra Swans and Greater White-fronted Geese already arriving on the marsh.  Meet at HQ at 10:00 am for this one.
