Bird Box Clean-up Day, Saturday, March 13
The annual Ladd Marsh Wildlife Area (LMWA) and Friends of Ladd Marsh (FOLM) sponsored bird box clean-up for Ladd Marsh is scheduled for March 13, 9:00 am meeting at the LMWA Headquarters at 59116 Pierce Road. Due to Covid-19 pandemic protocols, there will be some changes in the format for this year’s event. There is no kick-off meeting inside the HQ building. Participants will stay in their own vehicles and will be handed route and box data. Completed forms will be dropped off back at the HQ when work is completed. There is no sharing of tools or materials, so each participant is encouraged to bring their own gloves, masks, garbage bags (if you find litter you want to remove), paint scrapers (good for cleaning debris from boxes), screwdrivers (Phillip heads most frequently used); hammers and cordless drills are very handy. Family/personal pod groupings only encouraged. Please leave pets at home or make other arrangements. The weather is predicted to be sunny and 53 degrees F.
