FOLM First Saturday Bird Walk, July 5:

Happy fourth of July! Help us celebrate the holiday with a walk on the quiet side at Ladd Marsh Wildlife Area. Meet at 7:00 am, July 5th at the LMWA HQ.

Don’t forget your ODFW parking permit, binoculars, sunscreen, and mosquito repellant. We scouted the area we will visit and spotted 26 species of birds including Barn and Great Horned Owls, Bald Eagle (looks like we have some fledged newbies on the marsh!), Sandhill Cranes, all common varieties of blackbirds, Black Crown Night Heron, Great Egret, Bittern, flycatchers, waxwings, song birds and more.
